Description
The beef shank is cut from the leg portion of a steer. Our shanks are left bone in to allow for more flavors to be released when cooked and to provide delicious bone marrow. Beef shank is a common ingredient in soups as it cooks best in a most heat. A classic dish using beef shanks is the hearty Osso Buco.
